Little Best Friends

Happy Friday,

I can't believe that May is over. Time really flies by. This image reminded me of my daughter-in-law and me. When I go to visit them we spend a lot of time walking on the beach and collecting shells.

I used  Little Best Friends by Elisabeth Bell image - Elisabeth Bell Designs for my card. I colored them with Copic Markers. The DP is from Pion Shoreline Treasures. To embellish my card I used ribbon, cheese cloth, fiber, sea shells, Magnolia Doo Hickey Die Swirly Butterfly and spellbinders die.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you are inspired to create something special.

May Day

Happy Wednesday,

May is just flying by! Well Monday it was 81 and sunny but the rest of the week is 60's and showers. Just hoping the warm comes to stay......

I decided to create this wooden heart I bought at Michaels into a Maypole. I painted the heart with Martha Stewart Rose paint. My sweet hubby drilled a hole for the pole. To create the pole I used a straw then wrapped it in ribbon. To complete the pole design I added taffeta, pink ribbon, white curling ribbon and a pearl on top. The top of the my design is full of flowers from Prima, WOC and Kort & Godt.  The inside of the heart was lined with white lace and a white flower trim. To complete the design I added pink roses and Magnolia Doohickey Swirly Butterfly Die. The stamps are from Magnolia - Tilda with Cros Necklace, Sweet Princess, Magnolia Tilda and Tilda with Ballet Shoes. My images were colored with Copics and paper pieced with Magnolia and Maja Paper.

Here are some close ups of my project:

Mid Way Reminder Texture

Welcome to Midweek Magnolia's Texture challenge reminder. I chose to create a canvas. They are one of my favorite projects to create. I colored my canvas with glimmer mist and stamped some small images randomly on the canvas. I used a stencil with Martha Stewart white texture on the canvas background. The wooden window frame was painted with white picket fence crackle paint. I used several Prima embellishments - flower wreath, shutter, butterfly and handle. I used glimmer mist on the resin wreath. Under the flower arrangement I used Cherry Lynn heart die and used half of it under the flowers and flourish die. My resin butterfly broke in half so I chose to use it tucked in my arrangement. The balloon die is from La La Land and was embellished with Shabby white Frantage. Tulle, tulle bow small butterflies and pearls were used to complete the design. I use Maja paper and Copic Markers to color my Tilda. I hope I have inspired you to create a canvas!

The winner of my blog candy is Inge. Congratulations! Please contact me with your information.
