A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

Happy New Year! I haven't posted for a bit. I just returned from 9 glorious days in southern Florida. I have to say I enjoyed gorgeous sunshine and for most of the days mid 80's. However, I am now back to reality - below 40 degrees. I had a marvelous time spending Christmas with my two awesome sons, my amazing daughter-in-law and my wonderful husband.

Here is a printers tray I made for a friend. I used the Memory-Box-AMANA-CIRCLE die that I bought from Magnolia Licious -Magnolia Stamps. The two outside flowers were mounted on a solid flower shape to give them some more dimension. These die cuts are awesome. I can't wait to order some of the new ones.

50 minutes until 2012!

Happy Birthday to my Wonderful Son!

My son's 28th Birthday is today! He lives in Southern Florida and he does own a surf board. And he surfs. So I thought Surf Edwin from the Lazy Summer Days was the perfect image for his card.

The background was embossed with Koi fish then I used a little distress ink to give it color and dimension. The fence was colored with Creme de Chocolate and Creme de Cocoa Glimmer mist. The sand effect was created with Copic markers. I colored Edwin with Copic markers E0000, E00, E11, E25, E31, E50, G21, G40, B21, B24, B32, B000, B01, and R20. I used liquid glass for the design on the surf board. I stamped, colored and cut out the starfish and pop with pop dot. I distressed the birthday tag and added some rope.

Enjoy your evening and thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Christmas Dreams - Winter Tilda

I hope everyone had a great weekend. It's been awhile since I have posted. Very busy getting ready for Christmas!

Here is Winter Tilda all pretty in red & green. She was colored with Copic Markers; I used liquid glass on the buttons of her jacket to give them some dimension. She had some stars in her braids and her boots were colored with Creme de Chocolate Glimmer Mist. The beautiful tree is the new Memory Box Winterland die. I added a star to the top and some red jewels as decorations. I used my spellbinders to cut out the circle backgrounds. Add some ribbon and a sentiment.

Elegant Snoowie

Happy Thursday! It is a blustering morning with a little of the white stuff overnight. Mother Natures way of getting us in the Christmas spirit.

Snoowie was colored with Copic markers, his scarf, mittens and hat were cut from Memory box paper. I added some beautiful ribbon, bling and the white poinsettia to finish his look. Snoowie with Star

I hope everyone is having a great day! It is unseasonably warm here; 60 degrees. I will take it. The blue birds were here the other day. Poor things are all confused!

I decided I would enter my December calendar page in the Magnolia-licious Inspiration Challenge.

I used *Magnolia SNOOWIE WITH STAR Rubber Stamp So Snowy 2009. Such an adorable stamp. The paper is from the Bo Bunny Gabrielle collection. The image was colored with Copics and I cut corresponding paper for the hat, gloves, scarf and star. On the lantern I used a gold spica pen and yellow and silver glitter pens too. To finish the page I used some floss and a Mulberry Paper Flower. I did my all time favorite I used Gathered Twigs distress ink on the edges of the calendar and page.

July, August, September & October

Happy Sunday,

I hope everyone had a good weekend. I went craft shopping yesterday. I got one cute Magnolia who I am hoping to create something festive with this week. Plus I got a few of the Memory Box die cuts. I haven't used them yet; I had to finish another project before I open them. Otherwise the other project would not get finished.

Here are four more pages from the 2012 Magnolia calendar. July is the icecream cone with the cute mini Tilda, August is the adorable dog and doghouse, September - one of my favorites Sunflower Tilda, lastly October Tilda with a pumpkin.

Two more months to go. Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Tilda Moments

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a good day today. Here are two more calendar pages. March and June. For the March page I used the Tilda Stamp from the Love Collection 2009 and the beach fence. I added a couple of butterflies and some bling.

For the June page I found from Mayan Road these adorable chip board teapots, cups, etc. So I covered them with paper and inked up the edges. I couldn't resist using Lazy Day Summer Tilda resting on the tea party pieces. Lastly, I used a sentiment "You're my Cup of Tea".

The calendar is finished; I will post more later. Have a good evening and thanks for stopping by.....

April & May Calendar Pages

Hello,

The April calendar page features Tilda with Boots. I used the corresponding paper for her dress, bow and boots. I added liquid glass to the boots to give them a shiny appearance. I cut the fence from brown paper, added some brown flower soft and some bling.

The May calendar page is my favorite thus far. Well Dressed Tilda is just too darn sweet. Her dress was cut from corresponding paper. She has a beautiful pearl necklace to finish the look. I cut the flower from different matching paper and popped each layer. Lastly, the beautiful pearl bling was added to compliment Well Dress Tilda.

Monday, I will post March and June. Let me know if you have a favorite. Thanks for stopping by and leaving me comments!!!! It is very much appreciated.

My sister turns fifty on Sunday; here is her birthday card I created. I used Bo-Bunny paper stamped the dress and bow cut them out and attached. I colored her skin, hair, hat and boots with Copic markers. To make her a fashionista liquid glass was used to give her stylin' yellow boots. I used my cricut to cut out the 50 using Basic Grey "Out of Print paper. I stamped the background. For the finishing touch I added a flower and ribbon.

The inside of the card is very simple. I repeated the 50 theme inside the card. I used Sparkling Tilda which I colored with Copics and added some white glitter to her wings.

The beautiful lilies I got a Michael's on clearance and they are actually a porcelain material. To finish the card I stamped happy birthday and added the brown ribbon. To give the card dimension I used pop dots.

Yesterday I stayed home because I was not feeling well as you can see my girls took advantage of the day. They were very tired. LOL! They just love hanging out with me especially when I am crafting.

The Great Pumpkin

I just love fall. The leaves are so beautiful right now. It would be so nice if the weather could stay like this for a couple of months.

Over the weekend I made this spooktacular printers tray. I used the Magnolia pumpkin & leaves from the So Spooky Collection. I painted the house with crackle paint and then gave it a light mist with perfect pearls. The apothecary bottle is filled with black and glow in the dark glitter. Oh yes, the windows also glow in the dark. Let me know what you think.

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your evening....

Dancing Tilda Birthday Book

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. What a gorgeous weekend we are having bright sunshine and high 70's.

I bought this flower shape book at Michaels last week and decided to make a keepsake birthday book for my son's girlfriend. The photos are from some of her bucket list for summer 2011. Of course Dancing Tilda is the star on the cover. I colored her with Copics, the paper is from the memory box collection "Minuet" and the embellishments are from 7 Gypsies. I have had the ribbon for some time and could never figure out how or what to use it on; it seemed so appropriate for the flower petals on the front cover. Let me know what you think.

Enjoy your weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Tilda with big ribbon

Happy Friday! It looks like another rainy weekend. The good part it means lots of crafting.

I made this birthday card for my Mom's birthday which is on Monday. I colored Tilda with Copic markers E000, E00, E11, E25, E31, E50, R20, RV91, RV95, V91, V93 and V95. The luggage was colored with glimmer mist - sand, creme de chocolate, tattered leather, and silver. I used Spica pens for the details on the luggage - silver, lavender and brown.

The butterfly background paper is from Memory Box. Oh and I used my new seedless preserves distress ink to ink up the edges. My Martha Stewart butterfly punch came in handy for the little butterfly which is sitting on the luggage. I used frost glimmer mist on the flowers to create the soft blue color. The intricate fence which is used as the backdrop for the card was created with the ornamental iron Cricut cartridge. To give the card some depth and dimension I used pop dots on Tilda and the luggage.

Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your weekend!

Thank You -Time in Paradise

Here is a thank you card I made using the Magnolia Starfish Stamp. I used distress ink frayed burlap and broken china for the background. Then I added perfect pearls to give the background a sparkly sheen. I stamped the starfish with walnut stain as well as the sentiment. I used tattered leather glimmer mist to achieve the brown glitzy ribbon.

I love the ocean and am so blessed that my son now lives right across the street from a beautiful beach. We spent Labor Day weekend there so I thought this would be an appropriate card to send them as a special thank you for an awesome weekend in paradise!

I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

August Button Farm Kit

I haven't blogged in a couple of weeks. I was visiting my son and his wife in paradise. We had an awesome time! Then I did not have internet for about a week. But I'm back.

I finished this awesome kit yesterday. I modified it a little. I inked all the edges with black soot distress ink. On the front cover instead of buttons and ribbon I used to keys and the chain so they would hang nicely on the front.

Now the album can be given to a male or female.

Have a good evening! Thanks for stopping by.

Halloween in August - Tilda with Pumpkin

We were very lucky with hurricane Irene; in our area we got a lot of rain and some wind. I know many around us are flooding and experiencing power outages. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone.

Last week I received about ten new Magnolia stamps. I am so looking forward to making some new cards this coming week. Here is one of my new stamps.

So today I spent my day making a Halloween card with Tilda with Pumpkin. She is such an adorable image. I colored her with Copic Markers B63, B66, C00, C01, C03, C05, E000, E00, E11, G20, G21, R20, Y11, Y21, Y38, YR12, YR15, YR18, YR20, and YR21. To add some glimmer; I used a black Spica pen on the handle of the pumpkin and I used glimmer mist on her boots and to add a little dimension to her hair.

Yesterday I did a little shopping and I used the new paper I bought –the orange polka dot is from Bo Bunny, the spider web is from K & Company and the pumpkin paper is midnight dreary from Moxxie LLC. I used a Stampn’ up punch and stamp for the Happy Halloween sentiment. I used black soot distress ink on the edges of the paper and the flower to give them a misty look and feel. The spider is a stamp from Martha Stewart. I added a little bling and some new-stripped wired ribbon to finish off my card.
